Today I interview a truly great and talented Graphic Designer and Digital Artist who has been featured in many publications both for his artwork and tutorials. To be quite honest he is one of my personal heroes in the creative industry and possibly one of the most talented Digital Illustrators I have seen! Many of you will be familiar with his work! He is UK Digital Artist David Cousens of Cool Surface!

In keeping with #typographytuesday I have featured a Graphic Designer who excels at the art of typography! Mr Graphics Guy of Deviant Art whom had much of his work showcased in my article 30 Examples of TypographyDesign is a master of typographic design and a great source of inspiration in the Deviant Art Community.

There are far too many amazing artist out there to count, but in my largest collection to date I’ve brought you as many of them as I can. The work of many of these artist are too amazing for words! I woke up today to find that I had the honor of being featured in an article by @KarenMcDade on Minervity.com. This is a real treat with me since I was put along side my own personal heroes like David Cousens and BrandNu! I can’t tell you how blown away I was by that when I saw it. Ultimately the article is to introduce the community to underexposed designers that use twitter and offer something of value to the design community by doing it, which was a great idea that I fully support.

Rob Shields is probably one the greatest and most well known digital artist I’ve ever seen. His work serves as a constant inspiration to myself and many others in the artistic community. Whenever I look at Rob Shields work I am blown away and inspired to take my own work to another level.

Lady Huntress of Autumn is my latest digital painting, I’ve been working on this on and off for a good deal of the week. I’ve been working on this one for different contest. The work on this image was quite extensive, but it was fun to try some new things with it.

Today’s interview is with Indonesia based Graphic Designer Ferdi Rizkiyanto, also known as Pepey. You probably remember him for one of his more popular photo-manipulations, a PSA demonstrating the threat of Global Warming. Ferdi’s graphic design work is amazing and has exceptional attention to detail.

“So Very Broken” is my latest digital painting. Marcus J Ranum’s stock image are amazing, they are of great quality, size and composition. I have been wanting to use this particular one for quite some time. I wanted to create an image using warm color that yet conveyed a feeling nearly infinite sorrow, as a way of contrasting color and emotion.

Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing an amazing Digital Artist who specializes in Digital Painting. She is Russian based artist and designer Alena Lazareva and you may be familiar with her work from DeviantArt, Advanced Photoshop, Photoshop Createive, or ImageFX. Her images are nothing short of mystical and it was a real treat to get to talk to her about her work!

I’ve seen some amazing photo-manipulations and dark artwork in the online community lately and felt inspired to create a new piece for Photoshop Creative’s Web Challenge this month.
