What Adobe Creative Cloud Means For Students

Adobe recently announced Creative Cloud, addressing a concern that many designers myself included have been speaking up about for years. Creative Cloud will be a subscription based version of the traditional Adobe Creative Suite that you can pay for month to month. Effectively what his means is for $50/mo you get Adobe Master Collection and will always be using the latest version of the software.

In this review I cover some of the new features of Adobe InDesign CS5. InDesign is the weapon of choice in any designers arsenal when it comes to layouts, pre-press, or typography, and it doesn’t get highlighted nearly as much as it should. InDesign plays a much bigger role in the design world than most people realize.

As much as I found this hard to believe its true. Of all the companies out there being hit by the recession it seems that even industry giant, Adobe Systems is not immune. Adobe will be laying off an estimated 680 staff, or 9% of its work force in an effort to reduce cost.
