In the next week or two I will be compiling a list of graphic designers, web designers, and digital artist that use twitter. I know that we’ve all seen list like this before, but I’m hoping to mix it up a little, in addition to listing people that I already know as designers and artist from the web, I”m letting you guys recommend who should be on the list, and nominate others or yourselves too.

Rob Shields is probably one the greatest and most well known digital artist I’ve ever seen. His work serves as a constant inspiration to myself and many others in the artistic community. Whenever I look at Rob Shields work I am blown away and inspired to take my own work to another level.

Maybe some of you are as tired as I am of the same list over and over featuring the same artwork by the same people. So here you go some new fresh eye candy from you from some digital artist many of you have never seen or heard of who produce some of the most amazing digital artist in the deviant art community.

As much as I found this hard to believe its true. Of all the companies out there being hit by the recession it seems that even industry giant, Adobe Systems is not immune. Adobe will be laying off an estimated 680 staff, or 9% of its work force in an effort to reduce cost.

There are a lot of great advantages to using WordPress, but if you get to a point where you are seeing an Internal Server Error 500 every time you want to upgrade a widget, install a plugin or do anything useful, then it can be a real pain. Thankful I have a fix for you, especially if you are in a shared hosting environment like 1and1 or Godaddy.

Today I wanted to share with you the work of Carolyn White also known as Miskis, a friend of mine on deviantart.com whose work has been inspiring and words have been encouraging. She has a great talent for digital arts and her work is nothing short of amazing. I’m sure that her unique style will definitely leave an impression on you. I remember with longing the days when I would do nothing but sketch for hours. Its something I really do miss and I’m trying to work my way back to it. I can’t express how great it feels to be doing freehand sketching again, its been awhile.

Back in the 90′s Sprite demonstrated a particular stroke of marketing genius in the development of a series of commercials, one that particularly stands out is the Voltron Sprite Hip Hop commercials.

Now FREEZE is a photo-manipulation that is straight hip hop. I found a fantastic stock image to work with and using dynamic lighting effects was really able to bring it to life in a new way.

In the event that you don’t have your own computer with you or internet access, and you still haven’t manged to print your work, you still have some options for showing your work on the fly. Modern day cellphones can browse the internet and render web sites almost as well as modern day laptops.
