Force of Nature Photo Manipulation

I really enjoyed working on Force of Nature. I’ve been so busy with agency and freelance work that I haven’t had as much time as I would like for blogging and personal work. Force of Nature was a chance to do something very interesting visually while using basic techniques and not “overdoing” anything.

Photo Manipulation OASIS Moonchild

OASIS is something I came up with while looking at an old piece of work “Star Girl I”. I realized since working on that image that my skills have progressed a great deal and wanted to see what I could do with that stock image today, and that is how I made my start on this project.

Empire State of Ads Part 1

New York is a truly wonderful city, particularly for creatives. You can barely walk down a street in this city without encountering a barrage of colors, advertising, art, architecture, and any number of inspiration, its is literally a creative playground. I took the opportunity to take some pictures while in the area of the 35th and Broadway, as well as when I was in the Subway catching my train back to Brooklyn. These are the ones that really caught my attention.

Photo Manipulation Look At Me

I really enjoyed working on this particular image. Look at me was a chance to try out some new techniques. I did extensive retouch work to this image including, completely recreating the eyes and lips, whitening the teeth, and smoothing the skin.

I used different adjustment layers to really get the image to pop. The butterfly wings I did myself using a reference. The model in this image was great and had very unique and expressive features that allowed this image to work the way I imagined it.

Advanced Photoshop 67 Feature

I can’t tell you how happy I am to announce that I have been featured in Advanced Photoshop Magazine issue 67 (page 12) in their Reader’s Gallery. This has been a goal I have been working toward for over a year, and it’s amazing to see it come to pass.

Photo Manipulation Dance Puppet Dance

I wanted to create something using this stock for quite a while. From the moment I saw it I knew that I wanted to try to make this concept work. Part of the image of course alludes to Pinnochio, but I also wanted to add a metaphysical aspect to it.

Alexiuss is an amazing digital artist based out of Canada with a fantastic array of dark artwork. In fact I have to honestly say this represents some of the best dark artwork I’ve seen in the deviantart community.

Photo Manipulation Energetic

Energetic was a photo manipulation inspired by the song “Energetic” by BOA. It is a high impact club song with a great beat and energy to it and was able to inspired some of my best work. This image has also become one of my most popular photo manipulations on DeviantArt.
