I guess I am a little nervous about the conformity thing. I mean, I can't muster up the bravado to say, yes, I am internet savvy, or Yes, I am a great designer, or whatever. One thing I have learned in the online community, is that we can be very demanding of propriety. Art school:"nothing matters but work." Design school:"did you really use a serif?" I don't think any of us knows what works, other than work. And in that vein I agree totally with the post. Nothing that ever worked for me worked fast. Great post.
