Magic Melody
This image was something that came to me while watching the Brothers Grimm movie. I decided on the concept for a girl walking through the dark forest spreading enchantment with an instrument, then remembered the perfect stock image by Marcus J Ranum

I think you need to practice cutting out and blending. The edges of the girl don’t look at all realistic, and you can see where you have blurred them to hide this.
The girl needs shadowing applied to her feet area to make her look like she isn’t just cut and pasted onto a background.
I’m not a massive fan of the background either as it lacks detail and the color dodge has made that worse.

    Keep trying though.

There are SOME edges on the girl that are blurred. And I do agree that the feet could have used some shadowing. But I believe that the point of the background was not to overpower the main image(the girl) so there wasn’t a need for it to have massive detail and I believe it serves its purpose well. I am not a graphic artist but I do know what does and doesn’t look right. I would give this pic an 8/10 with deductions from the two areas listed above. Keep up the good and I know you will improve on these areas as you continue with your projects.

Thanks for the comment Nabi, I maybe looking at touching this one up a bit or revisiting this idea. You are right in that the intention was definitely not to overpower the main figure in the image.
