I’ve started a small project where I’m working with various water effects, Wet Work was my first foray into this concept.

Effects Deconstruction

Extraction. For the extraction of this image I mostly used the pen tool for my layer mask. The pen tool is truthfully the best overall for this sort of thing.

Retouching.
After the extraction I did some minor retouching work, specifically the highlights and shadows, as well as some minor work with the hair.

Background
The background was required some major work.  The splash image I used was provided by http://seductive-stock.deviantart.com. There is some really amazing stock material here.
